12 p.m. - Faux Frenchmen  Acoustic guitarists Brian Lovely and George Cunningham, bassist Don Aren and CSO violinist Paul Patterson have been playing 1930’s Hot Club-inspired string band gypsy jazz in and around Cincinnati since September 2002. Blending traditional gypsy and European popular music with the sounds of American artists like Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong, the Faux Frenchmen adapt the Hot Club’s instrumentation and approach to their own unique musical ends. The Frenchmen have played here and abroad at Tallstacks, The Jazz at Chautauqua Festival in New York, The Little Chicago Jazz Society Concert Series, and Xavier University’s Masters of Swing Concert Series, as well as holding down a Monday night residency at Tink’s in Clifton. http://www.thefauxfrenchmen.com

1 p.m. - VoiceWorks is a project of ArtWorks in partnership with the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department.  Apprentice Artists are auditioned, interviewed, and selected from more than 50 applicants to be employed in the 2008 ArtWorks Summer Program.  For six weeks, these teens rehearse, stage, and perform a musical showcase throughout the community in more than 20 public performances. http://www.artworkscincinnati.org/

2 p.m. - Mohenjo Daro delivers a powerful presentation of original, yet traditional Indian and Middle Eastern inspired music. The group's inherently western methods blend with elements ranging from Indian raga and devotional music to Arabic trance and belly dance music.  For over a decade Mohenjo Daro has developed a unique repertoire that realistically combines their Western influences with their shared knowledge of Indian and Arabic music. The band has toured throughout the U.S. & Canada , shared the stage with the Fareed Haque Group, and appeared at the Montreal Jazz Festival in both 2002 and 2005.

3 p.m. - ¡ZUMBA! is Cincinnati ’s premier small Latin ensemble specializing in the sensuous, classic music of Cuba , Puerto Rico and the Caribbean . The five-piece group plays in the authentic old world style featuring the cuatro (ten-string Puerto Rican guitar), string bass, sax/flute, and percussion – reminiscent of artists such as Buena Vista Social Club and the great Ruben Gonzalez.  The smooth tropical rhythms of son, guajira, jibaro and salsa will keep you moving, grooving and dancing all day long.

4 p.m. - Baoku Moses and the Image Afro-Beat Band  A Yoruba native from Nigeria, West Africa, now living in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S., Baoku is a professional cultural performer of African arts, Afro-beat musician and the founder of (The Image Afro-beat Band). Baoku started his Afro beat career in 1997 shortly after the passing of Afro beat legend Fela Kuti, the father of Afro beat, and now uses Afro beat to preach, teach, entertain and educate about the issues facing all of humanity.  A professional African drummer, Baoku integrates African drums such as the Nigerian bata and talking drums, djembe and Senegalese bottom drums and much more into his music, which distinguishes his style of Afro beat from others. www.theimageafrobeatband.com
