Over-the-Rhine Main Street festival featuring live music, celebrity chef demonstrations, wine tastings, beer garden, Main Street shops, unique vendors, and more!

CINCINNATI (June 30, 2008) - Second Sunday on Main, a hip, eclectic neighborhood event is sizzling: last month, 1,500 people joined in the fun and enjoyed cooking demos, shopping and music. This month, come celebrate cultures from around the world during Global Groove. Experience Main Street coming alive at 12:40 p.m., as the Samba Parade kicks off an energetic vibe for the afternoon.

In addition to celebrating global cultures, guests can also explore everything Main Street has to offer. In addition to local specialty street vendors, the newly-opened Iris Book Café and main-stay Greg’s Antiques will both have extended Sunday hours. Other open shops include Art Beyond Boundaries, Base Gallery, C 4 Yourself Gallery, Classical Class, Design Smith Gallery, Enjoy the Arts, Main Street Gallery, 1305 Gallery, Studio Endure, and Urban Eden.

Other Second Sunday Highlights include cooking demonstrations by Jono Fries, chef at Nada and Boca; a wine tasting by City Cellars; live music by local musicians: Faux Frenchmen, VoiceWorks, Mohenjo Daro, ¡ZUMBA! and Baoku Moses and the Image Afro-Beat Band; an art talk series with Elliott Jordan and Jymi Bolden; cornhole tournaments; kids activity zone featuring Happen Inc. Community Canvas; and the Christian Moerlein Beer Garden.

The Christian Moerlein Beer Garden will feature the NEW MOERLEIN BARBAROSSA DOUBLE DARK LAGER as well as the highly popular OTR ALE. Also, they are sponsoring a Cornhole Tournament in the beer garden.

From 12-5pm, catch an exciting line-up of Cincinnati’s most talented musicians including; Faux Frenchmen, VoiceWorks, Mohenjo Daro, ¡ZUMBA!, and Baoku Moses and the Image Afro-Beat Band.
